Sorry but this software is barbarically difficult to learn. There is near zero instruction on the internet and there is zero streamlining of the process in the software. The very first process you will need to perform is literally buried deep within an unsuspecting link of one of the final tabs and is somewhat mis-named also. Even something as simple as getting it to find its own library is not happening. Been through ultralibrarian and yet to find a format that FreePCB will support without giving nothing but a mass blob of unusable Child made Microsoft Paint Artwork. I will literally have more luck drawing my artwork on Microsoft Paint. It will be faster than smashing my head against the wall negotiating with this randomly hashed badly thought through nonsense. Its like the designer made some good software then ran it through an Obfuscator!
Why give the dropdown menus in (mm) and then have all the options menu in (mil)??? I mean.... COME ON!!! I really wanted this to work for me but after 2 weeks trying to get the most basic of tasks complete I'm laying this to rest. Definitely not worth my time no matter how much I wanted to like it. This software needs a very serious rethink and reworking before it will be useful. For those of use who finally got to grips with it : You Sirs and Madams are total sadists.
